Too Many Laws

It seems that California legislators have a lot of time on their hands.  As the editorial staff of the Orange County Register aptly points out in the January 14th, 2011, Sunday paper, state legislators have been busy passing lots of new laws.

Unfortunately, this is par for Sacramento.  How many laws do we need?  Seriously, how many do we need to be reasonably safe and secure?

How about one law that repeals at least half of all laws passed in the last 10+ years.

  1. The last time we elected Jerry Brown he helped repeal the states sodomy laws. Until then sex in California was confined to a husband and wife of the opposite sex. The woman had to be on the bottom at all times in the missionary position.

I'm not sure what interest the state had in making that law other than to be able to break into peoples bedrooms and blackmail them.

I think you are right to again consider more stupid laws in California that might need to be repealed. In fact, you have just given an argument to the U.S. Supreme court. Why should the state care who marries? That may be overturned and one less stupid law repealed. There is a long list of other stupid laws that need to be revisited. Thanks for pointing this out.
