Lance Corporal Rick Centanni

I received an email, see below, regarding funeral services for Lance Corporal Rick Centanni of Yorba Linda.  Please read and forward to your family and friends.

"1. Lance Corporal Rick Centanni will be given a Heroes Welcome, Friday, April 2 at Los Alamitos AFB, at the Joint Forces Training Base. He will arrive at about 1:30 pm and will be escorted back to McAulay & Wallace funeral home in Fullerton. His family has stated the public is welcome for this procession to bring him home.

2. The funeral arrangements for the services for Lance Corporal Rick Centanni have been confirmed for Tuesday, April 6 at 10 am . The services will be held at St. Martins Catholic Church located at the corner of Yorba Linda Blvd and Fairmont Ave.

At the conclusion of the service, which is expected to last until approximately 11:30 or noon , there will be a funeral procession taking Lance Corporal Centanni past all of his alma maters in Yorba Linda . The procession will leave the church and proceed south on Fairmont past Fairmont Elementary School , then past Bernardo Jr High School. The processional will follow south until it crosses over to Orangethorpe/Esperanza Road and head west to Kellogg Drive .

The procession will then go north on Kellogg past Esperanza High School and continue north until it returns to Yorba Linda Blvd at which time it will turn east and follow Yorba Linda Blvd until it reaches the 91 freeway toward Riverside. The public is encouraged to show their support for the Centanni family and all our servicemen and women by lining the processional route with flags, banners of well wishes or by just being there with your hand over your heart as the Lance Corporal is taken to his final resting place.

The Centanni family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lance Corporal Rick Centanni Memorial Fund at www.rickcentanni.com courtesy of Santa Ana PD. This scholarship will fund scholarships at Esperanza High School in Rick’s name.

The Centanni Family has requested all questions regarding the services or other concerns be directed to Kathy and Mike Shanahan, 714-777-5517

I have recieved emails requesting information re: the services for Sgt Major Robert Cottle. I understand the family has requested the service for their family member be a private service.

Jan Horton"

I will be there to show my respect, admiration, and appreciation for Lance Corporal Rick Centanni's bravery and service to the United States of America.
